Milan is Italy's capital of sample sales: showrooms, archives and warehouses of major fashion labels open their doors for a few days, offering collection pieces at far lower prices. Most sales cluster around the Tortona, Isola and Porta Romana districts, especially at the end of each season and in the weeks around Fashion Week.
